The three games date from the early days of the studio, who in 1991 under the name Silicon & Synapse. That same year, the studio’s first game; RPM Racing for the SNES. The Lost Vikings from 1992 is the second game from the studio and was released for SNES, Amiga, GBA, Genesis, and MS-DOS. A year later appeared Rock ‘n Roll Racing, again for SNES, Genesis and GBA, but not for MS-DOS. Only then would the studio the name Blizzard Entertainment take. The first game under that name corresponded, was Blackthorne, which in 1994 was published for SNES, GBA, MS-DOS and Mac OS. According to fansite BlizzPro is the Rock ‘n Roll Racing to a stripped-down version of the game, with only three tracks and a portion of the original music. It is not clear whether Blizzard intends to make the rest of the game.

Blizzard had at that time not yet the reputation which it now has. The major successes with games such as Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft were still to come. The gameplay of the three classics deviates quite a bit off of the games that Blizzard, the great successes it might achieve. So is The Lost Vikings, a 2d side-scroller, Rock ‘n Roll Racing is a 2d racing game in which drivers of weapons could use to competitors of the job to sell and is Blackthorne, a 2d-platformer.
