Google has the encryptiemechanismes in the Android version of Chrome to say that safer, and faster. Thus, for creating an ssl connection from multiple algorithms to be chosen.

The new algorithms are intended for soc’s that have no hardware acceleration. When applying symmetric encryption, Google has the ChaCha20 algorithm in Chrome. For the verification is chosen for the Poly1305 algorithm.

According to Google, is the ChaCha20 algorithm safer because, for example, is resistant against so-called timing attacks. In addition, running both algorithms is more efficient on ARM socs, which encrypted browserverbindingen not only work faster, but also less cpu cycles and therefore less energy is verstookt.

Google uses new algorithms since February as an Android Chrome browser to connect to any of its services. Ultimately, should the algorithms be part of Android; it will, therefore, the code in future Android versions to be included.
