Customers of Vodafone may not be able to make or receive calls, reports the provider. The failure occurs on the 2g and 3g network of Vodafone. How long the jam will last is unclear.
Vodafone says working on a solution for the fault. People who are Vodafone customers call, get no answer and voicemail is not working; the phone is so distracting that someone has called. Both private and business customers seem to suffer from the interference. Mobile internet seems to be functioning.
It is unknown what the cause of the malfunction and Vodafone gives no indication of when it is expected that customers can make and receive calls. It also happens that customers own the phone, but unavailable for calls from others.
Update, 16:40: Vodafone claims that the outage is resolved.
