Cyberlocker Megaupload does again an attempt to return data to former users. The lawyers of the site have filed a request with the Supreme court in hong Kong to the restrictions, that at the request of America are imposed to the lift.

Lawyer Ira Rothken says that Megaupload the blocking of the servers wants to be removed. The cyberlocker, which in 2012 on behalf of the FBI, was taken offline, according to the lawyers, still not a legally proper subpoena received from the U.s. government.

Megaupload claims that his former users after two years have a right to their own data. Rothken says that the U.s. department of Justice, Megaupload and its cloud users has seriously disadvantaged: “By the constraints of the business by Megaupload impossible,” says Rothken. A consequence of the restrictions is that the company is currently not in his money can. Therefore, there is no budget to have an internet connection to the cloud storage again may make available for its users. If many users will actually put their data back, is doubtful. A large part of the data is last year already been removed.

The site was in 2012 taken offline because it is suspected of copyright infringement and money laundering. Megaupload, however, still full of only cloud storage to have commanded and thus not to be responsible for the shared files. When the lawsuit against Megaupload continues, is not yet known.
