Borderlands and Civ: Revolution is not more playable online on PS3

Borderlands and Civilization: Revolution as from 31 may 2014 no longer playable online via the PlayStation 3. That publisher 2K Games announced on its website. As a reason called the publisher the go offline from the GameSpy master servers.

Currently investigating 2K Games the ability to the GameSpy servers from the PS3 version of both games to migrate to other servers. The pc version of Borderlands and Civilization III and IV will temporarily not playable online. The servers of these games will be migrated to Steamworks. During the migration, players can experience that under other matchmaking does not work. Offline would the games, however, smoothly have to work.

It also repeals 2K Games the power plug from the onlinefunctie of seventeen other games, including Stronghold 2, NBA 2K10 and Top Spin 2. Will also be the DS version of Civilization: Revolution from may 31, no longer online playable.

GameSpy made in early april, announced that its master servers go offline on may 31st. The GameSpy servers kept especially lobbies, matchmaking and leaderboards for older games, including Borderlands and Civilization: Revolution. EA showed earlier, via Twitter, know that it is working on Battlefield, that also runs on GameSpy servers, playable after may 31.
