The Kickstarter game There Came an Echo is not just for Windows released, but also for the PlayStation 4. The developers decided this after they were convinced by the voice command capabilities of the PS4.’

The game is being developed with the main bedieningsmogelijkheid the voices of the players, set the Iridium on the Kickstarter page. The developers implement, however, also support for mice, keyboards and controllers. The campaign has its goal of 90,000 dollar earned and eventually came to 115.569 dollar. The stretch goals for Linux and OS X support are not achieved.

The developers say that the voice recognition system will better work than general systems such as Siri or Google Voice Search because it has a much smaller dictionary need to handle. In addition, can voice commands be replaced by the texts that the players themselves come up with. The developers give the example that a command like “Grace, hold position” if desired, may be replaced by “Yo girl, hold up.” The possibilities here are basically endless: players will be allowed to any statement they can think of to connect to the commands in the game. There Came an Echo mid-2014 on Steam. About the PlayStation 4 release date is still no clarity.
