Tesla has details about its Gigafactory released showing that the factory per year, by 2020 more lithium-ion batteries produce than all other accufabrikanten worldwide in 2013 did. Tesla has 1.8 billion dollars collected for the construction.

The purpose of the huge production is to drop the price of the batteries in a momentum. That goal depends in turn on the commitment of the manufacturer to within three years an electric car for a wide audience to produce. “At the end of the first year of mass production of that car, we expect the Gigafactory, the cost per kWh of our batteries with more than 30 per cent has been reduced”, Tesla is not known.

Tesla has 1.8 billion dollars of investors for the construction of the plant, in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada or Texas will come out. The carmaker was previously known to be a ‘green’ facility where much use will be made of solar panels and recycling technology. The construction would still start this year and in 2016 should be the first equipment to be placed, and then in 2017 with the production started.
