The NS takes over the management of the wi-fi connection in the train over from T-Mobile. The change will be made official Tuesday. In addition to the name of the wifi network in the train are the changes for users yet, nothing at all.

The wi-fi connection in the train was always T-Mobile, but now the name Wi-fi In The Train. In some trains, the NS the ssid already changed, in a lot of other trains that must still happen. The wi-fi connection is also the same: it is still using the 3g network of T-Mobile, and works with the same equipment.

The name change is a result of a change in the contract between the NS and T-Mobile, confirms spokesman Michael Fox of the provider. “From Tuesday, full responsibility for wi-fi in the train with the NS and no longer with us.” The NS was Monday morning, not able to post a comment.

Yet, nothing changes, but it will be possible in the future: NS can now for example install the equipment. NS and T-Mobile offer wi-fi on the train now for several years, especially on intercity trains. The wi-fi connection is free of charge, but may be limited. Here the NS or services block to make the connection available for anyone to keep.
