New rules Android applications prohibit misleading advertising

Google has new rules about the development of Android applications. It states that developers should ensure that their apps no misleading ads are included. Also the use of text messages is made more rigorous.

The rules are published in a new version of the Developer Content Policy. Therein lays Google that applications are not affected when the display of misleading ads. Among other things, it prohibited to system messages or a notification to imitate, while it is supposed to be advertising. Also, there may be no sneaky techniques are applied to the device, an application installed without the user know about. Finally, Google doesn’t allow advertising by sms-messages to send. Applications sms functionality now need to explicitly ask permission from the user.
