Apple has Monday CarPlay announced. The software, formerly known as iOS in the Car known comes to cars of a large number of manufacturers and is focused on the connection with an iPhone. CarPlay includes Siri-interaction, navigation, and muziekbediening.
CarPlay must for iPhone owners make it easier to call, navigate with Maps, play music, and notifications show in their vehicle. The platform provides a touchscreen for operation of the interface and a button on the handlebar that enables the voice control is to turn. Apple works together with BMW, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot Citroën, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota. Some of those manufacturers will CarPlay this week to demonstrate at the Geneva International Motor Show. The software will be an important part to keep Siri running, that the question is to what extent the platform will be useful in the Netherlands; Siri supports, nearly 2.5 years after the first release, the Dutch language yet. Using Siri, users will be under other contacts can be calls, voicemails, replay and missed calls to answer. The personal assistant will in addition, messages can be read and in conjunction with Maps directions to offer. Also users can have Siri tell you what they want to listen in the car. CarPlay will be available as an update to iOS 7 and works with iPhone 5, 5S, and 5C. The platform will sit in a small group of cars that are yet to appear, but Apple does not mention any models.
