The Fraudehelpdesk got in three years ‘ time 3000 reports of victims, usually, internet fraud, within. The total fraudebedrag of the notifications amounted to 30 million euro. Most of the notifications that the service got were not of victims but of tipgevers.
The Fraudehelpdesk got in three years time, 70,000 of reports about fraud within, of which the majority related to internet fraud. The notifications were 67.000 not from the victims but from tipgevers. The 3000 reports of victims represented according to Fraudehelpdesk an amount of in total 30 million euros.
The actual amount of damage due to internet fraud, is not known: the Fraudehelpdesk estimates that 90 percent of the cases of fraud are never reported out of shame or a too small amount.
