HP comes with Chromeboxes and Google, with Chromebox for Meetings

HP has its first Chromeboxes announced. In small desktop systems in multiple colours available. Google introduces Chromebox for Meetings, companies for video conferencing use.

The HP Chromebox comes in the spring of this year in the USA in the colors white, black, silver, and turquoise. The small systems are equipped with hdmi, displayport and four usb 3.0 ports. The processor is an unnamed Core i7. HP focuses on companies, and, among others, a tpm is present and is antivirus included. The price of the systems is still unknown, but according to HP they are ready for Googles Chromebox for Meetings.

That is a new initiative from Google, especially for video conferencing at companies. It consists of a package of a Chromebox, remote control, camera and microphone, which are companies for a total amount of 999 dollars can purchase. A screen is not one of them. After the purchase, companies need annual $ 250 pay in order to use the services. The videoconferencing is based on Google Hangouts, but also other platforms would be supported.

In the first Chromebox for Meetings not to the Netherlands, but only to the US, Canada, France, Japan, New Zealand, Spain and the UK. The Chromebox by Asus will work with it right away, and the next models of Dell and HP get support.
