GeeksPhone brings Revolution from 20 February for 289 euros

GeeksPhone has indicated that the Revolution smartphone, both Google Android and Mozilla’s Firefox OS is running, on 20 February will bring. For the device to have an amount of 289 euros to be paid.

According to the company, the release of the Revolution scheduled for 20 February, shortly before the Mobile World Congress starts in Barcelona. In the case of the Revolution turns the Atom Z2560-soc from Intel, which has two cores with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz. The 4.7″screen has a resolution of 960×540 pixels, and there is 1GB of ram present. The storage memory of 4GB can be expanded with micro-sdkaartjes. Photos can be made with an 8-megapixel camera or the 1.3 megapixel camera on the front.

The software is the Revolution with version 4.2.2 of the Android operating system. The Firefox OS version is 1.3, which is currently the latest version. GeeksPhone promises in the short term, an update to Android 4.3 to take care of, while users after the launch of their phone have the possibility to get the Google apps belonging to the Android OS to install: probably the Revolution is not Google-certified, which GeeksPhone, the software itself can provide.

GeeksPhone announced the Revolution in november last year, while it was also the Firefox OS device Peak+ deleted. Also there were already details about the specifications to the outside, just as a few photos. A precise release date and its price, the Spanish start-up, however, not yet published.
