Developer of the zombie survival game Rust removes zombies

The developer of Peace, the popular Early Access game on Steam, makes the game completely devoid of zombies. The human zombies in an update replaced by zombie-bears and wolves, but those are temporary. Peace must, as distinguished from counterpart DayZ.

Garry Newman, developer Facepunch Studios and the man behind the well-known Garry’s Mod, left in June of 2013 on his blog already know that he is “the zombies fight was is” and with the patch he adds the action to the word. “The longer we wait to remove the zombies, the more complaints we get when we finally do,” says Maurino Berry from Facepunch on the official Peace website, “It is now so no zombie-survival-game more.” What is there in the place of the zombies, wolves and bears, must still be evident. Plans for a new enemy that gamers in the wild, are already there. “You hate the bears and the wolves, we know that. In due time everything will be revealed,” says Berry.

The update makes the game a lot less like a DayZ clone, while the game ever with that approach is set up. What Rust and DayZ still have in common, is that the course of the gameplay completely unpredictable. Players in the same game world around and are free to work together or come to blows. In addition, it has Rest elements of Minecraft acquired. Thus, there is a comprehensive system of food, clothing, weapons, tools and building materials which can be worked to a civilization to create. Peace is in the first two weeks after the alpha release, more than 150,000 times downloaded. The game is still in the alpha stage and is available through Steam Early Access for 18,99 euro.
