Canon introduces the EOS 1200D-dslr and PowerShot G1 X Mark II

Canon has a series of new cameras announced, including the EOS 1200D-dslr, the PowerShot G1 X Mark II. The EOS 1200D is the successor of the already three year old 1100D and Canon focuses the model on the market of the cheapest dslrs.

The EOS 1200D is a compact dslr, which is about an 18-megapixelcamerasensor, where the three-year-old predecessor, with a 12-megapixelvariant had to do. Furthermore the Digic 4 image processor of Canon is present, the camera offers nine autofocus points and the camera with Video Snapshot video 0 – 1080p shooting. The 3″lcd displays of 460.000 pixels and there is support for wi-fi.

That Canon are at the novice cast is obvious from the presence of Scene Intelligent Auto: this mode automatically selects the appropriate camera settings. It is also apparent from the price, because the body goes for 399 euros of the hand like this in march in the Netherlands appears.

In addition, the PowerShot G1 X Mark II announced. This is Canon’s new top model in the field of compact cameras, and the device is the successor to the PowerShot G1 X on. Remarkable is the presence of a 1.5″sensor, where a 1″sensor in the competing models is common. The extra large sensor ensures, among others, that at a lower depth of field can be photographed than many other compact cameras. The sensor provides also for a “natural” aspect ratio of 3:2, with 12.8 megapixel can be shot, while the user will also have 13.1 megapixels in the 4:3 aspect ratio to shoot.

The camera features an autofocus system with 31 af points, where the original G1 X, 9 had. The G1 X Mark II features a 24-120mm f2-3.9 lens with 5x zoom, digic 6 image processor and 3″lcd with touch screen. The camera is from the end of april, available for 799 euro.

Finally, Canon also has the PowerShot SX700 HS announced, in mid-march for 329 euro arrives, while the PowerShot D30 and S200 in the end of april the shelves for, respectively, 299 and 279 euros.
