Windows Phone users get a year of 20GB extra SkyDrive storage

Windows Phone users get a year for 20 gigabytes of additional storage space at the cloudopslagdienst SkyDrive. That has Microsoft in an e-mail to users stated. Windows Phone users can use the additional storage until the end of January to activate it.

The e-mail Microsoft to its Windows Phone users sent was noticed by The Verge. Also the Dutch users GoT reporting that an e-mail, have received with the offer for 20GB additional storage on SkyDrive. The 20GB comes on top of the 7GB that users by default get and is a year long operating. Then, users put it back in storage.

The range of Microsoft seems to only be available to Windows Phone users. Also for other mobile operating systems, SkyDrive is available, but Android or iOS users seem to be the e-mail not to have received.

It is not the first time that Microsoft SkyDrive bonuses. For example, users who have a Surface 2 or Surface 2 Pro tablet purchase 200GB of additional storage for a period of two years. Competitor Google did something similar with its Drive-up service to users who Googles Quickoffice app installed and activated could 10GB of extra storage for a period of two years.
