Panasonic has a new version of its Toughbook laptop with omklapbaar touchscreen announced. The manufacturer has a magnesium-alloy body with carbon fibre for the solid hybrid used, of which the weight remains low.

The weight would be with the new model still very low, by the use of a magnesium alloy with carbon for the housing. The special feature is that the screen is completely to flip to a tablet mode, like the Lenovo Yoga.

Panasonic adds two usb 3.0 ports, hdmi, vga and a sd card reader and also there is an old dvd-drive. Probably the optical drive added because the Toughbooks because of their robustness to be used in environments where support for a long time is required, and where much with the discs worked.

The price of the Toughbook is still unknown. The model comes in mid-February in Japan, and later the rest of the world.
