Publisher Electronic Arts has announced that developer EA Maxis soon to be a single-player offline add to last year’s SimCity. The mode will be added with Update 10, but when this update comes online is not yet known.

The arrival of the offline mode for SimCity by Maxis announced on the official website of the game. Maxis’ general manager Patrick Buechner explains in a blog post that offline mode is currently still being heavily tested and that this free download will be once the content is ready. The studio was, however, not yet known when that time would be, and whether the update available at the same time will come for the Mac version of the game.

An offline mode for SimCity has been around since the release of the game in march of 2013, a much-debated topic. The simulation game requires gamers that they connect to a central server. Here are games saved, and so also the progress during the play kept. This resulted in the period after the release of crazy problems. Because the servers are often not working properly could be a lot of gamers SimCity is not good or not even play.

A year after the release of the game is the offline game mode so. That is remarkable, because previously held EA Maxis is claiming that it was not possible to make SimCity an offline game mode. Then studiobaas Lucy Bradshaw stated that the servers are not the way to think, because they are heavy calculations would be run that are not client-side done could be, but even then there were all anonymous sources within Maxis that afdeden as nonsense. Now an offline mode, however, appears to be seem to be that anonymous sources are now to get equal.
