Sony is working on a phone that is around 150 euros and offers support for 4g. Reports that a Japanese site. A benchmarkresultaat seems that claim to confirm. Sony presents its new phone, presumably at the consumer electronics show CES.

The phone would apply as the successor of the Xperia E and so Xperia E2 is going to be called, reports the Japanese site EmsOne. The phone should be in early next year, will be presented. Sony presented last year at the CES including the Xperia E, a phone that is for around 150 euro in the sale in the Netherlands.

The model number of the Xperia E2 D2303, came out in a benchmarkresultaat of Antutu, claims to be the also Japanese Ameblo. The type number indicates a cheap 4g phone. The D stands for 2014, while the first two digits tell where Sony the phone in its line-up: the lower the number, the lower the price. The Xperia Z phones were, for example, in the C6000 series. The last digit 3 stands for the supported network technology. All Sony phones with a 3 on the end have 4g on board.

Although the characteristics are unknown, it is through the 4g connectivity is obvious that the Xperia E2 on a soc from Qualcomm is running, for example, a Snapdragon 400.
