Opera comes with data compression app for mobile phones

Opera has an app released that the amount of internet traffic that a mobile user sends and receives should decrease. Data is accessed through the private servers of Opera led, after which the company compression. Opera already has a browser with that technique.

The Norwegian browserbouwer has are app Opera Max called and is actually an extension of the browser: where is the Opera browsers data compression to apply when browsing the web, the Opera Max app compression to other types of traffic. As yet, there is only a version available for Android, with which it is unclear whether other mobile operating systems in the long term will be supported.

According to Opera, the data compression app supports almost all the software that a user on his Android device has installed. When the support is mentioned that Opera Max audio and video compression can feature: as the uploading of photos to social-networking sites, for example, is accelerated, as claims to be Opera. Also text files are of compression. The data to Opera’s servers routed through a vpn on the device is set.

For now, Opera Max will be released as beta. That means that currently not everyone can download the app. The software is only made accessible for Us users, Opera Max for free from the Play Store can download. It is unclear when the trial period is extended, but this would ‘soon’ need to happen.
