The European Union agrees finally with the imposition of an import levy on Chinese solar panels. The levy, which, as the answer should be on the alleged dumping of cheap Chinese panels, will on december 6, to enter and can go up to 42 percent.

According to the European Union, the levy is necessary because European manufacturers of solar panels large harm by the Chinese government-subsidized solar panels that are placed on the market. The EU concluded, however, an agreement with China whereby a minimum price was agreed. Brussels will with the current announcement for the increment of the antidumpheffing make an exception for Chinese exporters who have agreed on the solar panels at these minimum prices. Also, these companies have exportlimieten with the EU agreed to. Thus, in practice, only Chinese companies have been taken that no agreements with the EU have created.

The import of cheap solar panels from China to Europe is estimated at 21 billion euro per year. Thus, the country has a market share of more than 80 percent would be. In the period 2009-2012 declined, the prices of solar panels in the European market with more than 80 percent.
