Huawei reportedly has plans for a smartphone on the market that runs on the yet unreleased Firefox OS version 1.2. The device would have a screen diagonal of 4″ and on the schedule for a release in Venezuela.
Reported that Firefox OS Guide, in addition to the specifications and an image of the device in your hands got. According to the website, the smartphone Ascend Y300II to be called, which presumably is a newer version of the Ascend Y300 with Android was released. The Firefox OS-variant is just like the Y300 with a 4″screen and a dualcore processor. Supposedly builds Huawei’s Snapdragon MSM8225-soc from Qualcomm, which features a clock speed of 1GHz. The ram is 512MB and there is 4GB of storage that can be extended with micro-sdkaartjes.
According to Firefox OS Guide is the Y300II shipped with version 1.2 of the Firefox OS. This version is by Mozilla not final released: the software “as is”, according to the author in the pre-release stage. Recently announced the software maker the release of version 1.1, which has better performance it should offer. What the exact changes are in Firefox 1.2 is not yet clear.
The Y300II would be in Venezuela to come out. Provider Telefonica would be the release, probably for the first quarter of next year is planned. It is unclear if the yet unannounced smartphone to other countries will come.
