Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth has apologized for sending a cease and desist notice to the website provider of Fixubuntu.com. Also, promises Shuttleworth that he opponents of the Mir-displayserver not longer as a ‘Tea Party members’ will’.
According to Ubuntu-foreman Shuttleworth uses Canonical normally a very loose attitude towards his trademark. The sent e-mail to Fixubuntu.com by the Canonical-founder, also considered as an error that a programmer might make when writing code.
Shuttleworth writes further that he himself apologized for the characterization of opponents of Canonicals Mir-displayserver as “Tea Party members”.
