Google Calico was announced, a company that is concerned with improving the quality of life. Although there is no precise research plans are released, the focus is on the impact that growing older entails.

Google announced Calico itself as a separate company, but did not know exactly what role it will play. Calico should be occupied with improving the quality of life. This is Arhur Levinson hired as ceo. Levinson was formerly involved with the biotechnology company Genentech, and is also a senior executive at Apple.

Calico focuses on the ageing and the diseases that accompany it. A higher age is associated with an increased risk of several diseases such as cancer or cardiovascular diseases. Wants to Google, it is probably not necessarily making sure that people have a higher age achievement, but understand that people stay healthy longer.
