First Steam Machines from Valve to contain all Nvidia cards

Valve has the specifications of the first 300 prototypes of Steam Machines with Steam OS announced. All game systems are equipped with Nvidia GeForce cards, which AMD will not be part of Valve’s project seems to be. Photos of the systems are not there yet.

Valve provides the first 300 prototypes of Steam Machines, Nvidia Titan, GTX 780-GTX 760 and GTX 660 cards, so let the company know. The prototypes are with Steam OS and equipped with a special Steam controller, to a limited group of users. This seems to be AMD preliminary sidelined for the Steam OS project: in the announcement made Nvidia is already known to work closely with Valve, but from the side of AMD remained silent.

Further, the Steam Machines, Intel Core i7-4770, Core i5-4570 and Core i3 processors, 16GB of ddr3 memory and hybrid hard drives with 1TB storage, complemented by 8GB of flash storage. The power relates to a 450W model with 80Plus Gold certification and the dimensions of the machines are 30,5×31,5×7,9cm. The first Steam Machines from various manufacturers will next year come on the market.

Valve promises that users simple video card, hard drive, processor and motherboard can be replaced and also would it simply be itself a Steam Machine to put together. Images of the machines are not there yet: Valve claims that the design is not yet finished.
