BlackBerry and providers wanted BBM to be the successor of sms

BlackBerry has with providers, negotiated for its instant messaging service BlackBerry Messenger as the successor of sms to be present. The providers would BlackBerry than to pay for the service and the infrastructure. The plan is, eventually, at the last moment cancelled.
