Asus presents the new version PadFone Infinity

Asus has a new version of its tablet – and telefooncombinatie PadFone Infinity is presented. The device compared to its predecessor and a slot for microsd cards and a second microphone for noise cancellation. Also running on a newer processor.

The new processor is a Snapdragon 800 from Qualcomm, a quad-core-soc with four Krait 400-processor cores at 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 330 gpu. He is on paper slightly faster than the current PadFone Infinity with Snapdragon 600.

The phone comes only in a 16GB version, while the current Infinity only in 32GB and 64GB configurations available. This gives the user the possibility to self expand the memory via a microsd slot. Unknown or microsdxc cards are supported for higher capacities than 32GB.

The 13MP camera also has a new trick learned. In addition to photos on the 13 megapixel, it can also information from multiple pixels combined into one pixel, to a sharp 3-megapixelfoto to produce. This is similar to Nokia’s PureView technology. Asus calls the feature PixelMaster, reports Engadget based on a press conference in Taiwan. The new PadFone Infinity also has ddr3 ram instead of the ddr2 memory from the current version. The ram still has a size of 2GB.
