The probable prices of Intel’s upcoming generation of E-processors are online published. The processors are suitable for a motherboard with the lga2011 socket and are not based on the new Haswell, but the older Ivy Bridge architecture.

As usual now introduces Intel the E-series for the HEDT a bit later than the mainstream processors of the new generation. Haswell was in June introduced, while the Ivy Bridge E-series in september is expected. Exposing the Ivy Bridge-E processors is actually a half step behind, and that is in the price also. According to the Chinese website VR-Zone, the prices of the entry-level model are lower than those of the fastest Haswell processor. Those prices are not yet formal by Intel communicated, but may have come from retailers.

The entry-level model in the Ivy Bridge E series is the Core i7-4820K. According to the provisional price list would be that quadcore $ 310, while the Haswell Core i7-4770K $ 350 cost. The 4820K has four cores on 3.7 GHz tap with turbo to 3.9 GHz and 10MB L3 cache. The second model, the Core i7-4930K, 555 dollar costs, and the six cores have a clock speed of 3.4 GHz with 3.9 GHz turbo. This hexacore has 12MB of L3 cache. The top model, the Core i7-4960X, is also a hexacore, and cost 990 dollars. The cores ticking at 3.6 GHz with 4GHz turbo and have come together to 15MB of L3 cache.

The largest differences between the June-released Haswell processors, and in september expected Ivy Bridge E-series are not only the architecture, but also the features. So the Ivy Bridge-E processors, but less than 48 pci expresslanes and a vierkanaalsgeheugencontroller. Haswell processors, with 24 pci expresslanes and a tweekanaalsgeheugencontroller do. The socket lga2011 processors are the top end and follow the Sandy Bridge E processors like the Core i7-3970X, on.
