Rumor: Google developing cheap own phones

Google works, according to a new rumor, cheap own phones. This would be developed in-house and not by its subsidiary, Motorola, which focuses on making hardware. The cheap Androids would be intended for developing countries.

The cheap own phones would be developed in Googles X Lab, which is also before Google Glass came from. The phones would be affordable for people who have less money to spend. The information of the business newspaper Wall Street Journal is in line with previous rumors that Android 5.0 will be optimized to run better on cheaper hardware.

The development of such phones is in line with the plan to get fast internet via balloons to developing countries. That way, Google wouldn’t only the connection, but also the hardware to of which connection to use.

Google has in recent years, Nexus phones released, including the last year presented Nexus 4 with LG, where that were always phones which are largely or completely were designed by manufacturers like HTC or Samsung. Only the very first Android phone, the HTC Dream, it would be a design of Google itself.

For Android 5.0 appears would Google also have the version 4.3 of its mobile operating system would release. The Dutch site SamMobile has screenshots posted of a Google Play edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android 4.3. This, as yet, no new features to see. The build is from the beginning of June.
