Nokia makes Here-navigation paid service for Dutch WP users

Nokia has its map and navigation service Here to be released for all Windows Phone 8 devices. For Nokias own Lumia smartphones remains the service for free, but people with a WP8 device from another brand should 34,99 euros to pay for turn-by-turn navigation.

According to Nokia comes Lord for all users with a device on Windows Phone 8 at the end of this week. The kaartensoftware, that Nokia used to be only for the Lumia-series available, it is free to download from the application store for Windows Phone. Dutch people who don’t have a Lumia, but global turn-by-turn navigation like in addition to the standard card details will need to pay to upgrade to Here Drive+ will cost 34,99 euro. Moreover, also information about the public transport to buy: this costs los 1,99 euro.

For users with a Lumia with type number 928, 925, 920, 822, 820, 810 and 620 continue to have all the functionality in Here free. Owners of a Lumia 720, 521, or 520, there are only about regional navigation options. An update to global navigation cost 15,49 euro.

Dutch WP8 users who don’t have a Lumia have to pay more than users in the United States, Canada, Mexico and some European countries, that get standard data of the public transport network and regional navigation. For an upgrade to global navigation should 15,49 euro be paid.

With the release of Here, Here Drive and Here Drive+ for all Windows Phone 8 users has Nokia the interface of the app as well. According to the manufacturer, it is now more intuitive to use. Also, the best route is shown on the basis of the traffic intensity.
