Microsoft expands Bing Maps with 270TB of vogelvluchtbeelden

Bing Maps has 270 terabytes of bird’s eye-photographs added. Total shows Bing Maps now almost 1.5 million square kilometres of territory in bird’s-eye view, which corresponds to a half petabyte of data.

In bird’s eye or bird’s eye, pictures are taken under an angle of 45 degrees so depth can be seen. By far the most of the locations that Microsoft has added, are in America, but there is also a number of European locations are present. This involves, among other locations in Scandinavia and Italy.

In addition to the added vogelvluchtbeeldmateriaal has Bing Maps also the number of venue maps, expanded. With venue maps can to maps of, among others, shopping malls, airports and amusement parks can be viewed, for example, to find the way.
