Manufacturers are working on screens for smartphones with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. These screens should be somewhere in 2014 products appear, and would mainly meant for large phones.
The resolution of 2560×1600 pixels would be the next step after the current full-hd resolution, which since the end of last year in phones is being applied in, among others, the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z. Phones with that resolution would be a display of around 6″ and next year should come true, writes the usually well-informed South Korean site ETNews.
The number of pixels per inch of the screens would come out around 500. This is the step is not large compared to current screens. The HTC One has a screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels with a diagonal of 4.7″, with which the pixel density comes out around 468. The screens of the generation of phones that is approximately 300-340 pixels per inch.
It is unclear who the first phone with this resolution presents and what hardware there, then. Current processors can have a full-hd resolution, but more pixels control seems to be a challenge for processors of this generation.
