Zotac has introduced new versions of its Zbox mini-pc released desktop Core i3’s and Core i5’s from Intel’s Ivy Bridge generation. The ID88 and ID89 are built around, respectively, a Core i3-3220T and Core i5-3470T. They come in a Plus and non-Plus version.

Zotac promised at CES early this year all new Zbox mini-pc with desktop-Core processors. The third generation of the Zbox consists of the ID88 and ID89, that are identical on the processor. Of the two systems is a Plus-version, which is about 4GB of memory and a hard drive of 500GB, and a non-Plus version, which of these components are missing.

The Core i3-3220T of the ID88 is a dual-core with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz and the Core i5-3470T that in the ID89 is a dual-core with a clock speed of 2.9 GHz with Turbo-boost to 3.6 GHz. The gpu of the chips is the HD Graphics 2500, which is significantly less performing than the HD 4000 of more high-end Ivy Bridge processors.

The mini-pc’s also have two sodimm slots for up to 16GB, a slot for a single 2,5″hdd, hdmi and dvi outputs, a 4-in-1 card reader, two gigabitethernet interfaces, and support for wi-fi-n and bluetooth 4.0. There are two further usb 2.0 ports and as many 3.0 versions, in addition to a digital s/pdif output for audio.

Zotac announces Tweakers that the price of the standard-ID89 with Core i5 340 euros. The Plus-version with memory, and hdd is 420 euros in costs, while the ID88 with Core i3 slightly lower prices than the ID89 going to get.
