Market share of Chinese tablet soc to 20 percent

According to research from Strategy Analytics, the market share of Chinese soc’s on the tablet market over the past year has increased considerably: Chinese manufacturers are good for 20 percent of sales from tablet soc’s. However, Apple reserves the lead with a share of 48 percent.

That reports Electronics Weekly on the basis of a study that Strategy Analytics has released. A ‘handful’ of Chinese manufacturers, such as Allwinner, is responsible for 20 percent of the turnover on the market for soc’s in tablets are used. That is remarkable, because soc’s from Chinese origin in particular, are popular in budgettablets. Apple continues lead: 48 percent of the turnover on the market for a tablet soc’s in the past year was from the company from Cupertino. The soc for the iPad, however, are produced by Samsung.

Nvidia saw its revenue from selling soc for tablets to increase significantly: in the past year increased sales by 83 percent.
