Gigabyte announces Brix mini pc officially

Manufacturer Gigabyte has officially announced the mini-pc Brix on the market. The barebone-mini-pc about ten to eleven inches, and with an aluminum frame is provided including the cpu. The purchaser must still own the ram and a msata-ssd to add.

There are different variants of the Brix, which is on the cpu after are identical. There is a choice of an Intel Celeron, 1037U, Core i3-3227U, Core i5-3337U and Core i7-3537U. The system board is equipped with the H77 chipset and can accommodate two so-dimms with a maximum memory of 16GB. The small device can have two screens at the same time driving thanks to a hdmi and mini-displayport connector. Both the front and back is a usb 3.0 connector, and furthermore, the Brix over a network connection.

Gigabyte provides Brix, including a pci-e wi-fi module, a power adapter and a vesa mount that is suitable for the dimensions 75×75 and 100x100mm, that the mini pc behind a tv or monitor can be screwed. The Brix measure 29,9×107,6×114,4mm.

The small barebones Gigabyte has to compete with the RACK of Intel, which is about the same size. The fastest cpu in the RACK is at this moment a Core i3, but Intel will soon be models with a Core i5 or i7 processor, according to Computerbase.
