Deezer has announced that there are now more than 4 million people paying for its service. In total, 10 million of users monthly active. The muziekstreamdienst exists since 2007 and must, among other things with Spotify to compete.
That tells Evolver FM on the basis of information provided by Deezer at the Music Matters gathering in Singapore. The number of 4 million paying customers means that, in the last half year, much growth has been made: in december, Deezer, yet the number of 3 million paying customers to be passed over. The muziekstreamdienst let also know now more than 25 million songs in its catalog; that is 5 million more than in december and also more than rival Spotify.
In total, there are monthly 10 million people use Deezer, which is about 40 percent paying customer. This makes Deezer still behind competitor Spotify, which has about 24 million active users, of which there are about 6 million to pay for the service.
Deezer is of French origin, but now has its services to many different countries. Since december 2011, the muziekstreamdienst also available in the Netherlands.
