The blockage of a billing of major Japanese Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox is set because the company does not comply with the U.s. rules would have kept. Mt. Gox had in the US must register as a processor of payments, the government.

Wednesday it became known that the American payment start-up Dwolla payments to Mt. Gox may carry out, on behalf of the U.s. Department of Homeland Security. However, it was still not clear why that betaalblokkade was set: Mt. Gox knew not themselves, and Dwolla didn’t want to go into details.

Now, however, it became clear that the blockade is set up because Mt. Gox is not on the American legislation in the field of financial transactions would have held. This is evident from the court order, that IDG is published. When Mt. Gox in the United States settled with a U.s. entity, the name of Mutum Sigullum, gave the company that no payments processed.

Although the Us entity of Mt. Gox is indeed no traditional payment processing, handles the company’s Bitcoin payments. The U.s. department of treasury ruled recently that processors of payments with virtual resources need to register. It is unclear whether the U.s. government immediately to a betalingsblokkade is passed, or first with Mt. Gox in consultation was trying to act. Previously claimed Mt. Gox did not know why it was blocked.

Moreover, bank transfers to Mt. Gox and its U.s. subsidiary for as far as is known still as possible. Anyway, the blockage is no impact to users outside the United States; Dwolla processed at this moment, only payments to residents of the USA.
