Panasonic has the Lumix G6 and LF1 announced. The first has the image sensor of the GH2 and is equipped with an oled viewfinder, whereas the Lumix LF1 is a 1/1,7″sensor, 7x-zoom lens and a built-in evf. Also is the 14-140mm lens refresh.

The Lumix LF1 is not the successor of the current Lumix LX7, but the first model in a new series. Just like the LX7, the LF1 is a 1/1,7″-Live MOS image sensor, but instead of 10.1 megapixels, this sensor is equipped with 12.1 megapixels. Panasonic connects this sensor for high-end compact cameras, however, with a lens with more zoom range, and a lower light intensity.

The stabilized 7x-zoom lens has a kleinbeeldbereik of 28-200mm. The brightness is f/2 at wide angle, but there remains in the telephoto is only f/5,9 from all over. Via a ring around the base of the lens allows various camera settings to be changed. Especially for a camera in this class is that the LF1 has a built-in electronic viewfinder. This includes a 0.2″instance on the basis of a lcd with 200K sub-pixel.

In addition, the LF1 features both wi-fi and nfc, allowing easy connection with a smartphone or tablet can be made. Through this wireless connection can also remotely photos to be taken. Video is in 1080/50i shot. The LF1 is from June available in the colors black and white, for a suggested retail price of 429 euros.

In addition, Panasonic has the Lumix G6 is announced. This successor to the Lumix G5 model from last year uses a better image sensor with 16.1-megapixel coming from the Lumix GH2, but the G6 does not use the multi-aspect ratio functionality of the sensor.

In addition to the new sensor offers the G6 a large number of other improvements. So is the electronic viewfinder on the basis of frame-sequential lcos is replaced by a oled evf with the 1.44 million subpixels. This not only has a significantly shorter delay, but can also be a higher contrast display and eliminates the effect of the so-called colour breakup of his predecessor.

Panasonic makes the G6 now use a capacitive 3″touchscreen instead of a resistive one. Just as with the G5 is this screen to fold out and swivel, but the resolution is slightly increased to 1040K subpixels and the cover glass is now laminated to the lcd. Also, Panasonic has a Night-Shot AF function added. This is the af information of less frequently read, for greater accuracy in low light conditions.

The redesigned Venus Engine image processor in the G6 not only offers an improved start-up time of 0.5 s, but it also has new algorithms to reduce noise, where a distinction is made between high – and low-frequency noise. The Venus Engine chip also allows for recording of 1080/50p and 1080/24p video, while the video mode of the G6 also have the exposure set to manual can be. The G6 has a 3.5 mm jack for an external microphone.

Also, the G6 like the LF1 and earlier this month announced Lumix GF6 with built-in wi – fi and nfc connectivity. The Lumix G6 is from June available for a suggested retail price of 599 euro for just the body and 699 euro for the combination with the new, smaller 14-42mm-kit lens.

The introduction of the Lumix G6 will be accompanied by an updated 14-140mm lens. This is smaller and especially lighter than the original, which for a long time only as a kit lens for the Lumix GH2 available. The new variant is 75mm long, has a filter size of 58mm and weighs 265g. The previous 14-140mm lens has a length of 84 mm, a filter size of 62mm and a weight of 460g. Also, the brightness of f/3.5 at wide angle is higher than with the previous version. Los the cost of the new 14-140mm lens is 699 euros, while in combination with the above Lumix G6 1099 euro for the kit should be paid for.
