Iran claims to be working on an alternative to Google Earth. The competitor for the popular software of Google would be developed from islamic beliefs. Iran has been working on the web to censor and self-developed, alternative websites to bring.
The Iranian minister of information and communications technology, Mohammad Hassan Nami, has, according to The Guardian and let them know that the alternative to Google Earth, that Bashir is going to be called within four months in the air. It is unclear how Bashir will look like; Nami has only let you know that the software with islamic ideas is developed, and that the people on the track of the reality. Iran would currently have a data center build that should be able to control the amount of information of Bashir to process.
Google services by the Iranian government seen as espionage instruments. The country has in the past, Google and Gmail, already, blocked due to a video on YouTube in which islam is ridiculous would be made. Also entered the country with a private competitor to video service YouTube.
To the ‘pernicious’ influences of the world wide web all the way against Iran has for some time been planning a ‘halal internet’ to build. In the first instance would be the ‘clean web’ in August 2011 to go online, but that was later postponed to march 2013. The islamic country wants still regular traffic on the ‘normal’ internet block.
