Details OCZ’s Vertex 5 ssd coming online

OCZ’s latest solid state drive, the Vertex 5, is not officially announced yet, but a Swedish site would be all about the details of the drive. An Indilinx controller should be the 20nm flash memory drive.

The Swedish website Nordic Hardware says details about OCZ’s latest solid state drive to have mastered and is able to report that the Vertex 5 with 20nm memory is equipped. Just as the Vector-ssd would be the Vertex 5 a Barefoot 3 controller on board, which in 2011 acquired Indilinx is being developed. Perhaps the controller is slightly modified, compared to the Vector controller.

With the Barefoot 3 controller and their own firmware will OCZ the management of the flash memory, just like with the Vector, completely in our own hands. Which nand manufacturer in the arm and taken to the 20nm-mlc-memory, is not yet known. However, it is plausible that OCZ the memory of his own labels will provide. Is expected to OCZ, the Vertex 5-series at the end of may to introduce. The ssds would be in a 128GB-, 256GB and 512GB versions available. Prices are of course not yet known.
