Clients of SNS Bank have Thursday night betaalproblemen may experience as a result of a ddos attack. The bank says that internet – and mobielbankieren works, but that iDeal payments are not possible. The attack is the umpteenth in a series of ddos attacks on Dutch banks.
Wednesday was SNS Bank has also been the victim of a ddos attack. That attack meant that internetbankierbetalingen may not doorkwamen. In the attack of Thursday night seems to be the impact on the bank’s own still less; mobile and internet banking is still possible.
However, iDeal has to contend with substantial disruptions at major banks, as evidenced by the status page. At the time of writing, it is iDeal with the SNS Bank in the whole not possible and the error rate when several other banks also significantly higher than normal.
