Synology showcases nas system with new Atom soc

During the Cebit announced manufacturers the first nas systems with the Atom CE5300-dualcore. Synology provides its DS714 of these Intel soc, which is optimized for 1080p content transcoding for playback on, for example, smartphones.

Synology released at the Cebit are DS714. This is a 2bay nas which appearance is concerned, is identical to the DS713+. In contrast to that model, the new DiskStation no Atom D2700 with a clock speed of 2.13 GHz, but a new Atom CE5315-soc at 1.2 GHz.
