Liberty Global, no large significance in Ziggo, is for the transaction, no approval of competition authority NMa is required. The American company in the Netherlands, UPC, as the daughter has made the acquisition of the shares itself known.

Liberty Global has an interest will get in Ziggo, it is nevertheless a huge step. Ziggo and UPC are the two largest kabelaars of the Netherlands, even though they compete nowhere directly: both have well-defined areas where they offer their services.
