Samsung presents Galaxy S II Plus

Samsung has the Galaxy S II Plus will be presented. The phone seems to be as two drops of water on the more than one and a half year old Galaxy S II, but running a new version of Android and runs probably on a different soc.

The S II Plus has much in common with the Galaxy S II, which in may 2011 was released and became one of the most successful smartphones ever made. As the Plus-version of the same 4.3″ Super Amoled Plus screen with rgb-format and with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, with that resolution, the phone now no longer in the high-end segment, but in the midrange market. The phone runs on Android 4.1.2 and has many of the features of the Galaxy S III and Note II, such as pop up play for videos, and the Nature UX.

The phone also has the same design as its predecessor and carries almost the same type: where the S II GT-i9100 as a sequence number, the S II Plus GT-i9105. Although Samsung has not disclosed what processor in the S II Plus is, the phone has a Broadcom soc on board: the BCM28155. Which has two Cortex A9 processor cores with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz and a Videocore IV gpu.

Another difference is the memory: the working memory of the S II Plus is just like that of the S II’s 1GB, but the memory of the Plus-version with 8GB half that of the current S II. The S II Plus will be for the end of march in the Dutch stores with a suggested retail price of 399 euros. The white will not be in the Netherlands appear; only the black.
