Lenovo presents the first smartphone with dualcore Intel processor

The Chinese smartphonemaker Lenovo, the first smartphone with dualcore Intel processor is shown. The IdeaPhone K900 should be out in april and has a full hd screen of 5.5″, and a 6.9 mm thin casing of metal and plastic.

The IdeaPhone K900 runs on the Intel Z2580-soc with two processor cores at 2GHz and a PowerVR SGX544MP2 gpu, so with two graphics cores. The gpu is the same as that in the iPhone 5, which smartphone is a variant of the SGX544 with three gpu cores. The phone comes according to the press release from Lenovo in april in China, followed by a release in Russia and Indonesia. A release in Europe is not yet in the planning.

The Z2580 is based on Clover Trail+ is the second generation of Intel soc’s that are actually in smartphones is going to be used. The first generation is under more in the Lenovo K800 of last year, and Motorola’s Razr I.

The K900 runs on Android and has a 5.5″-ips-lcd with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The housing is 6.9 mm thick. The phone has a camera with a maximum resolution of 13 megapixels, which is probably made by Sony. The expectation is that, among others, ZTE, and Motorola later this year smartphones with this processor present.
