Gelid introduces The Black Edition cooler

The Swiss hardwarebedrijf Gelid Solutions released its latest cooler ge lwa site. The cooler is simply The Black Edition is called, and is equipped with no less than seven heatpipes to transfer heat from the processor to carry away.

The cooler is intended for current sockets from AMD and Intel, and the most powerful processors from both manufacturers to keep a cool. The Black Edition includes seven heatpipes, three of which have a diameter of 8mm and the other four have a diameter of 6mm. The three thickest heatpipes sit centrally in the heat sink that makes contact with the processor; two thinner sit on the edges and the last two are above the central heatpipes.

The heat through the heat pipes is disposed of, is transferred to aluminum cooling fins that two cooling towers are divided. The cooler can be equipped with a total of three fans of 120mm, but Gelid provides two standard. A thin, 16mm thick fan on the outside attached and a standard, 25mm thick specimen between the two cooling towers are mounted. Both fans have a variable speed of at least 750 respectively 1600 and 1500rpm.

The thinner fan to the outside must have enough space to give to geheugenrepen. Especially the memory modules on opposite sides of X79 boards to be inserted, would benefit from this. The Black Edition is available immediately and must be 59 euros in costs.
