The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has in 2012 more than 7 million smartphones sold. That has the founder of the company announced. Xiaomi’s Mi line of smartphones, which are standard features of the custom rom Miui.

The sales were probably higher, as Xiaomi enough devices could produce in order to meet demand. There came in a short time, 1.3 million pre-orders for the Mi-One S, while a total of 200,000 copies of the flagship Mi-Two this autumn, within a quarter of an hour were sold out. Many of those devices will go probably to brokers, who try to earn money by the smartphones more expensive to sell. Also in the Netherlands there is limited demand for the device: on GoT now runs for months a topic.

Of all sales happened 70 percent through their own site, says the founder of Xiaomi at the Chinese site QQ. The remaining 30 percent is sold through providers. Although the equipment due to the limited supply are always sold out, sells Xiaomi still relatively low. The smartphonemaker, which chipmaker Qualcomm invests, Lenovo for: Lenovo sold in the fall of 2012, 9 million smartphones per quarter, much more than the 7.2 million per year of Xiaomi.

The Chinese manufacturer would plan the quadcore-phone Mi-Two to Europe, but it is unclear when or if that happens.
