Asus Android 4.2 for the Transformer Pad Prime release

Asus has confirmed that the Transformer Pad Prime tablet gets an update to Android 4.2. This is the manufacturer, in addition to Google, one of the first manufacturers that say anything about existing devices that have an update to the new version of the mobile OS.

According to Android Planet, the customer service of Asus, the arrival of the update is confirmed. The manufacturer is currently busy with the development of the necessary software, so it is still unclear when users update expect. Normally it takes several months after the introduction of a new version of Android before manufacturers their devices from the update.

That the Transformer Pad Prime, an update to Android 4.2 is equipped with means likely that other tablets within this range also the new software will get. The Transformer Pad Infinity and the Transformer Pad 300T seem to be the main candidates. Earlier, Asus is already an update to Android 4.1 for its Transformer tablets and brought it in cooperation with Google, the Nexus 7, which is standard on Android 4.1 is running and already has Android 4.2.
