DirecTV has in the United States the new high-end set-top box with dvr functionality announced. The Genius can with its five tuners five programs at the same time, while the image to the four tv’s output can be.
The Genie set-top box is based on the earlier HR34 dvr-box from the satellite company, but expands the number of tv’s that at the same time, with live or recorded image can be operated from two to four. That is, according to DirecTV enough for a household.
