Fujitsu announces tablets, and laptop with Windows 8 on

Fujitsu has a large number of Windows 8 tablets and laptops announced. The Arrows Tab QH55, and the Q572 are both 9,9 mm thick, and are ipx5/7/8-water-resistant, while the Stylistic QH77-tablet with an optional keyboard docking station can act as a laptop.

Fujitsu has a total of 23 new tablets and laptops with Windows 8 launched in the run-up to the official launch of Windows 8 on 26 October. Both the Arrows Tab QH55 as the Arrows Tab Wi-Fi Q582 are tablets that meet the ipx8-waterbestendigheidsnorm. That means that a device in water 1.5 metres deep for thirty minutes.

According to Fujitsu, these are two tablets with a thickness of 9.9 mm is the thinnest that meets this standard. In comparison, the Xperia Tablet S, a consumer camera, is waterproof according to ipx4 standard. Both models have a weight of 574g and are equipped with an Atom Z2760 cpu from Intel. The display is an ips variant, but Fujitsu has no image size and resolution published.

Also, the company announced two Windows 8 tablets in the Stylistic line. The Stylistic Q572 is a so-called slate tablet with a Z-60-apu from AMD which includes an amd Radeon HD 6250 graphics core. That model is 13.6 mm thick, weighs in at 748 grams, and has specific security features as a finger print scanner, smart card slot, and optionally a chip, and a sdd with encryption.

The Stylistic QH77, a tablet that also functions as a laptop can act by making use of the keyboard dock. It comes with a stylus for pen input and the keyboard part can a docking station be linked. According to AkihabaraNews, the Stylistic QH77 equipped with a Core i5-3427U Ivy Bridge cpu, 4GB-ram, 64GB-ssd, usb 3.0, and a 11.6″screen with a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels.

Also in the field of ultrabooks and laptops with Windows 8 comes Fujitsu with a large number of models. The Lifebook UH75 is an ultrabook with a thickness of 15.6 mm at its thickest point, a weight of 1.44 kg and a battery life of 10.2 hours. For the firmness, Fujitsu has the ultrabook uses magnesium.

One size larger is the Lifebook SH76 with a 13.3″screen, a built-in optical drive, a weight of 1.23 kg and a battery life of 13 hours. The laptopconstructie has extra space on board for a second hard drive or battery.

Further, Fujitsu has also the Lifebook AH78 announced with 15.6 inch ips display with a yet unknown resolution, an optical drive, and a quad-core cpu. The 20.8 mm thin notebook is also equipped with Pioneer speakers.
